The company behind playnfors
playnfors is published by Caesars Baltimore Management Company, LLC, 1525 Russell Street, Baltimore, MD 21230, a member company of Caesars Entertainment. Editors read letters sent to contact@playnfors.com.
Our publisher, Caesars Baltimore Management Company, LLC, runs a casino venue in Baltimore that offers not a single guest room; with nowhere to sleep, it has no claim on a list of casino hotels and stays off this one. That sentence is all we say about it, here and wherever else the rules ask us to say it.
Ownership on the list
Plainly: the publisher holds the deed to none of these ten hotels. Two do connect to its parent group and wear labels on the home page. Caesars Virginia, which Caesars Entertainment part-owns and operates, is tagged as a sister property. Harrah's Cherokee, whose owner is the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and whose day-to-day running is contracted to Caesars Entertainment, is tagged as managed by our parent group.
Something else worth weighing as you read: the publisher also earns its living in this same stretch of the Mid-Atlantic, so it is not a neutral bystander here.
Where the money comes from
Hotel buttons here can carry referral tags. When a stay is reserved after a tap on one, a partner network may pass us a commission, and the rate you pay is untouched. In short, referral commission is what keeps the lights on at playnfors; it covers the editing hours and the hosting bill. The affiliate disclosure goes into the detail.
How hotels get chosen
The shortlist holds casino resorts with genuine guest rooms across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the far west of North Carolina. Each is then tested on four counts:
- Rooms: is the bed comfortable, is there an outlook, and are the categories explained in plain words?
- Leisure: spa, pools, places to eat and a stage, all reachable on foot from your door.
- Setting: what surrounds the building, and how sensible the trip there is.
- Openness: are resort fees, card holds and check-in ages simple to track down?
Anything we cannot verify stays out: no guessed room totals, prices, founding dates, awards or numeric grades. The casino side of a property earns it no position, and we leave it undescribed.
Experience and sources
The editors cover leisure travel through the Chesapeake, Allegheny and Blue Ridge country. Primary sources come first for every entry: the hotel's own site, its posted policies, and official park and visitor-bureau material. Uncertainty is flagged in the text, or turned into a prompt to ask the hotel.
Fixing mistakes
If a detail has gone stale, write to contact@playnfors.com with the page address and what changed. An editor weighs your note against what the hotel itself publishes, amends our wording where warranted, and moves the revision stamp forward. A hotel may point out a factual slip too, though no hotel gets to buy its way up the order.
